When To Attack?
Traffic Light Explanation
We sometimes find ourselves as coaches repeating the same things 100x. Why? Partly due to our explanation not being good enough sometimes to make the concept stick. Other reasons..I’ll let you answer.
Something I have found that helps is using everyday ques or things players see to help make the concept and thing being taught stick. Here’s an example of using a traffic light to help explain attacking basket or driving lane. Why? I find at the beginner level many players make the mistake of shooting the ball instead of taking the layup, or hesitate to keep on attacking because they see a defender in sight.
