I listened to this episode on the way back from a Saturday practice. I never saw Deion Sanders play in the NFL but I have heard he was one of the guys back in his prime. Now Head Coach at Jackson State University, he shared his take on team culture, influence, leadership, NIL (HOT TOPIC!), marketing, and patience in executing long-term goals. It was an insight into a visionary CEO, steering their football program to success beyond wins.

The landscape of sport has shifted. We can see more youth programs replicating some of the points Sanders discusses. Should it be this way? Maybe yes, maybe no. At the end of the day, this is the direction many programs are heading towards or close to (at least).
