Depending on your coaching philosophy offensive sets may be viewed as very important to the success of a team or a simply a loose structure with a few rules to play out of. Wherever your importance lies on the need for offensive sets I believe whatever you are running must work and suit the abilities of player personnel. What good is it to run an offensive set to get the ball inside the paint (post) if your team is a bunch of guards usually outmatched in the size department.
